As a London-born son of Ghanaian immigrants, excellence was always stressed while growing up in Newark, Delaware. I wanted to be a physician ever since I was in middle school. That aspiration persisted through high school and eventually into college when I enrolled at Temple University. The road started out bumpy, but trust in God, unwavering grit, and a little bit of luck kept me on the road to medicine as I matriculated into the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where my desire to affect the lives of patients in multiple ways led me to the field of primary care internal medicine.

After completing my residency training at Emory, I decided to work with the underserved community as  a primary care physician (PCP), which is what I still do until this day. Over the years, I have had the privilege of building trusting relationships with my patients which have enabled me to positively impact their lives on many levels and shape my perspective on the world. My goal is to extend that reach beyond the exam room. If I am not your real-life PCP, my content is not intended to replace going to a physician in person, but hopefully it can fill in the gaps of understanding and serve as a conversation piece for your next doctor’s visit.
